Fresh from making his SXSW debut last week, multi-faceted young talent sbk has returned with brand new, spacey rap track 'Tanjiro', out 24th March.

The title 'Tanjiro', is based on the heroic main character of the animé Demon Slayer, with sbk spitting "I'm watching Demon Slayer tryna be like Tanjiro". The track is a self-produced, bass heavy club track, with sbk's flows and styles of delivery comparable to that of Slowthai and Skepta. Aside from the beat, the artwork was also designed and illustrated by sbk, in the same style as the original drawing in Demon Slayer. 'Tanjiro' also features a music video shot by Alibi Visions, filmed in January during sbk's 21st birthday party in Soho; this event was arranged in collaboration with Dunno Curated, with a range of performances on the night.

'Tanjiro' drops a week after sbk's debut performances at renowned Texas festival SXSW, where he displayed his energetic performance skills for two different showcases. sbk performed alongside a highly decorated lineup, including the likes of Armani White, Balming Tiger, Lola Brooke & Steam Down. SXSW follows sbk's February performance at the TouchTheWood event series in Rome, as well as being a precursor to his headline show at Hootananny Brixton on 21st May.

Only 21, sbk has already released an impressive range of music within his catalogue, with his first single being released at the age of 13, followed by solid offerings like 'Level Up' & 'Uphill Struggle'. Having featured on some of the UKs most prolific platforms such as SBTV, Rinse FM & BBC Radio 1xtra over the years, sbk has managed to turn his passion into a full fledged career, all whilst remaining independent.

Having performed and collaborated with Boy Better Know and with performances with the likes of Skepta & JME under his belt, sbk has travelled the world with his music, performing twice in NYC last year and showcasing Milan Fashion Week, not to mention the countless underground raves over the years. sbk has been co-signed by the Grime greats, but it's clear he is now carving out his own unique sound, inspired by emo, punk, trap and alternative music.

2023 looks promising for the versatile young star, who despite his age, is a seasoned veteran in the underground UK scene with 7 years in the game.
